Grand Rapids Gold to Call Van Andel Arena Home for Upcoming Seasons

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 2, 2022) – The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, announced today that its regular season games for the next five seasons will be played at Van Andel Arena. Van Andel Arena is a 12,000-plus seat arena located in downtown Grand Rapids.

“Our goal has always been to provide an elite level of basketball to the West Michigan community,” noted Steve Jbara, president of the Grand Rapids Gold. “This move further solidifies our efforts to elevate all aspects of our fan experience, and we’re looking forward to calling Van Andel Arena home for future seasons.”

Van Andel Arena is in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and has been the city’s premier entertainment venue since its opening in 1996. The multi-purpose arena is managed by ASM Global, who specializes in creating amazing guest experiences. It is the Must Play Destination in Michigan’s fast-growing market for concerts, family shows, comedy, and sporting events, and is home to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins hockey team.
