Ryan Bowen - Head Coach
Ryan Bowen brings more than 30 years of basketball experience to the Grand Rapids Gold. A native of Fort Madison, Iowa, Bowen played collegiately at the University of Iowa from 1994–98, located just an hour from his hometown. Following a senior season in which he averaged 14.4 points per game, Bowen was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft.
Bowen began his professional career overseas with Oyak Renault in the Turkish Basketball League before joining the Denver Nuggets in 1999. Five of his 10 seasons as an NBA player were spent with Denver. Following his playing career, Bowen transitioned directly into coaching, returning to Iowa City for a year as a video coordinator.
Bowen has spent the last 14 seasons on coaching staffs, including 12 within the Denver Nuggets organization. His tenure includes helping the Nuggets capture the 2023 NBA Championship as an assistant coach. Bowen joined the Grand Rapids Gold ahead of the 2025–26 season, marking his second head coaching role at the NBA level after leading the Nuggets’ Summer League team in 2022.
Logan Quinn - Assistant Coach
Logan Quinn brings extensive experience from the collegiate ranks, both as a player and a coach, most recently serving as head coach of the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders. As a student-athlete, he competed at Little Rock and Missouri Baptist University. Quinn enters the 2025-26 season with one year of NBA-level coaching experience after joining the Gold last season, where he serves as an Assistant Coach.
Daisuke “Dice” Yoshimoto - Assistant Coach
A native of Higashiosaka, Osaka, Japan, Yoshimoto played Division III basketball at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, before joining the program’s coaching staff following his graduation in 2005. He brings 15 years of NBA coaching experience, rising through the ranks under head coach Tom Thibodeau. He began his NBA career in Chicago and later followed Thibodeau to Minnesota and New York. After the Knicks parted ways with Thibodeau following the 2025 playoffs, Yoshimoto joined the Grand Rapids Gold as an Assistant Coach for the 2025–26 season.
Antonio Bostic - Assistant Coach
Antonio Bostic played collegiately at Stephen F. Austin University before transitioning into coaching immediately following his graduation in 2013. He gained experience at the Division I level with assistant coaching roles at Abilene Christian and Oral Roberts. The 2025–26 season marks Bostic’s first in the NBA ranks, as he joins the Grand Rapids Gold as an Assistant Coach.
John "Bubba" Gault - Assistant Coach/Video Coordinator
John "Bubba" Gault began his career with the Denver Nuggets in 2017 as a ball boy straight out of high school and steadily worked his way up through the organization’s coaching staff. Most recently serving as a Video Coordinator, he was part of the Nuggets’ 2023 NBA Championship team. Gault joins the Grand Rapids Gold for the 2025–26 season as an Assistant Coach and Video Coordinator.
