Grand Rapids Gold Reacquire Marcus Burk

The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, have reacquired Marcus Burk. In October 2021, Burk joined the Grand Rapids Gold after a successful tryout with the team. Burk played 28 games for the Grand Rapids Gold last season and averaged 12.2 PPG, 2.8 RPG and 1.2 APG.
The 6’3 Guard played in the 2022 Summer League with the Denver Nuggets. Burk played in two games during Summer League and averaged 3 PPG.
On August 10, 2022, Burk signed with the Twarde Pierniki Torun of the Polish Basketball League. During his time in the P-EBL, Burk played seven games where he averaged 5.9 PPG.
As a freshman at Campbell, Burk averaged 8.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Burk was named Big South Player of the Week on November 17, 2017, after scoring 33 points against UNC Wilmington. Burk averaged 15.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Following the season, the Indianapolis native transferred to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis “IUPUI.” On January 25, 2020, Burk scored a career-high 39 points in a 89-85 overtime win against Oakland. Burk averaged 21.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game as a junior, earning Second Team All-Horizon League honors.
In a subsequent move, the Gold have waived guard Norris Cole.
