Spurs Rally to Defeat Drive

CEDAR PARK, Texas — The Austin Spurs (21-9) defeated the Grand Rapids Drive (15-14) in a come-from-behind win 98-93 Saturday during Military Appreciation Night on the SWBC Court inside the Cedar Park Center. Bryce Cotton paced the Spurs with 27 points and six rebounds and Kyle Anderson on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs notched his eighth double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Orlando Johnson (16 points), Jonathan Simmons (13 points), and Erik Murphy (11 points) rounded out the five Austin Spurs players scoring in double figures.

The Drive took a 57-42 lead going into the half, but the Spurs would outscore Grand Rapids 28-11 in the third quarter. Cotton scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to help the team pull ahead.

Brandon Fields (24 points, seven assists) led all scorers for Grand Rapids. Willie Reed pocketed a double-double (11 points, 15 rebounds) and Adonis Thomas added 16 points.
